Cheeks | Rushed Makeup Tips

It’s day 2 of Rushed Makeup Tips Week!

I’m posting everyday this week with my makeup tips for when you’re in a rush! I wrote an introduction that you can read HERE, which explains everything.

In today’s tips post I’m going to be telling you all about cheek products – what’s best to use, what’s best to avoid, and how to apply. Here we go!

Bronzer

For me, contouring doesn’t take too long – but when you’re in a rush, I probably wouldn’t recommend it! There’s been days when I’ve looked muddy and the slimming effect hasn’t really worked. Bronzing around your hairline and under your jawline are pretty foolproof steps though – but don’t go overboard or you’ll have to start everything again.
For bronzing my face I use the Natural Collection Suntint Bronzing Powder in Golden Glow (which I mentioned in my August Favourites)Β – this is too orangey for contouring but for adding a little colour it’s perfect! I apply it using the Real Techniques Buffing Brush, in circular motions.

Blusher and Highlighter

Every second counts in the morning, so if you can miss out a step with your makeup routine it’s all worth it! You can quite easily skip highlighting if you use a shimmery blusher, as it gives the same effect as well as making you look more awake.
My current favourite shimmery blusher is Benefit’s Bella Bamba (sorry there’s no swatch – the shimmers were reflecting and I couldn’t get a good snap!). It’s so pigmented and adds a gorgeous sheen to the cheeks! If you’re not in the budget for a Benefit product though, I know that Sleek do some amazing shimmery blushers too.

So that’s all from me! I hope some of those tips helped – I know it’s not rocket science, but maybe I could give some of you a few extra seconds in the morning!
