So… Here it is. My last post of 2014. How weird is that?
Anyway, I thought it was important that I got this post out to you before it gets ‘out of date’ – on a Boxing Day Bargain that I can’t believe I managed to get my hands on!
So, this is the Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference face cream, and I’m going to be giving you my first impressions on it today!
Originally, the price is £45 for the 75ml jar – but in Debenhams it was REDUCED TO JUST £15 – that’s a whopping £30 off!
I was in serious need of a moisturising face cream, because my skin is very dehydrated and dry, making foundation have an odd finish and my skin look dull and lifeless. I was firstly looking at the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief, but at £34 it’s a little bit out of my skincare budget and as this was on an amazing offer I decided to give it a try.
Let’s get on with the first impressions, shall we?
I’m going to have to start off with the gorgeous packaging – very swish, very swish.
It comes in a lovely ‘lil jar – glass, so it feels heavy and very expensive (which it is, so I should hope that it looks pretty). One thing I don’t like about the packaging though is that it’s not very travel friendly – I very much doubt I could throw this into my overnight bag without it smashing or even fitting in at all.
The cream itself is very lightweight and has a waterbased texture, which makes it very pleasant to apply – it feels like it immediately adds moisture to my skin.
It smells quite herb-y and strong, but not in a bad way – it won’t be to everyone’s taste though so do give it a sniff before you buy it!
I just applied a thin layer onto freshly cleansed skin this morning and evening – and my skin already feels plumper and smoother! I am absolutely loving how this has hydrated my skin already!
Obviously as I haven’t used it too much my skin still feels a little rough and dry, particularly on my cheeks which is the area that I experience the most dehydrated skin – but if after 2 uses I’m already seeing changes, I’ve got really high hopes for this!
Overall, I am loving this so far – it seems to be just what I need! And if you’ve got dry skin – or you just fancy pampering your skin as it’s getting into the depth of winter – I would really recommend you giving it a go.
£30 off? Madness!
I wish you all a happy new year, and I hope you have a great night whatever it is that you’re planning! Stay safe, and I’ll speak to you in 2015 (!!!).
Do you have dry skin? What do you use to hydrate it?
Thank you all for making this year such a memorable one for me – having started this little blog way back in the summer it has very quickly become a huge part of my life and a hobby that I’m still loving, even months down the line.
I’ve written over 50 posts and have also gained over 250 amazing readers – thank you all for your lovely feedback, it means so much to me.
Let’s hope 2015 will be just as good!
