Lip product addict tag (part 2) // With swatches!

So, I think that in part 1 of this tag we confirmed that I was indeed a lip product addict – and I am so fine with that!

I’m going to be sharing part 2 of the lip product addict tag with you guys today! If you didn’t read part 1, just click here to read it!

Anyway, I’m going to get started!

5. Most disappointing lip product?

stila lip glaze

Answering this question really wasn’t that hard for me, because I was so annoyed with these!

They are the Stila Lip Glazes and I actually bought a trio of them – I was super excited, and I loved the colour selection.

Well, I was disappointed. These glosses are just so flipping sticky I can barely even get them off the brush – you’re meant to twist the bottom, a bit like you would with a highlighting concealer, and then apply the product directly to the lips.

They’re just too sticky, all of the colours look the same on the lips and they go down really quickly! I won’t be investing in these again!

6. Lip liner – yes or no?

Honestly, no. I just don’t get lip liner! I just feel like it doesn’t suit me, and whenever I wear it I don’t see a difference in the lasting power of my lipstick either!

I’ve seen it look amazing on some people, but it just ain’t for me!

7. Favourite gloss?

tanya burr chic lipgloss

This question was a complete no-brainer – my favourite glosses are by far from Tanya Burr!

They just have amazing pigmentation, the gloss lasts a really long time and they’re not too sticky either (but I probably wouldn’t layer them on other lipsticks – it can look a little odd!).

My absolute favourite shade is definitely Chic, which is a gorgeous nude-pink that I feel really comfortable in.

8. Something else?

lush lipscrub

So, for the final question I just knew I had to mention this bad boy – the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub. Honestly, I can’t get enough of this!

I use it pretty much every morning that I know I’m going to wear lipstick, and it gently exfoliates and removes all of the dry skin that would look gross under any lip product!

These are also really affordable and they smell DELICIOUS!

So that is the end of my lip product addict tag! I’m going to tag some lovely ladies now:

Emilia Rose:

Even if I haven’t tagged you I’d love to see your answers to the questions! Leave your post in a link below so I can check it out!

      1. One that is worst is the Burts Bees lipgloss. I made a review on these and compared to those, even the Stila ones can be considered awesome. If you want a matte, long lasting lipstick/lipgloss, try Bourjois Rouge Velvet. I get them at them at Shoppers Drug Mart and they are amazing!

      2. Ooh, I haven’t heard about them but I won’t be going near them!
And thanks for the recommendation – I’ll keep my eye out! I’m after a matte lip at the minute so they might fit the bill πŸ™‚ x

    1. The Lush ones really do work! If you’ve got chapped lips I’d definitely recommend trying one – especially if you wanted to wear a lipstick or something, as they can of often cling to dry patches πŸ™‚ x

  1. I agree about the Stila glazes, I also felt like it took forever to get the product up on the first use! Then I’d always click too much and waste it. I hope the Tanya Burr beauty products hit the states soon, I want to try her lashes too!

    1. Yes, they were very disappointing! The packaging’s quite cute but if it means you waste product it totally backfires.
And are they not in the States yet? Surely they’ll be coming soon: they’ve been out for around a year now! xx

    1. She is, isn’t she! I’d definitely recommend trying one of her lip glosses; there’s lots of colours so I’m sure you’d find one that suits you!
And it does smell good – although a bit too sweet sometimes! x

  2. I really need to invest in a lip scrub! I always think it’s a waste of money because you can easily DIY a sugar scrub but I never do it… Definitely gonna check out the Lush one. Again, thanks for the tag! Can’t wait to do this! Xx

    1. I think that’s the main reason I put of purchasing this in the first place! But like you said, it’s rare you get time to sit and make your own… They really do work, so I’d 100% recommend giving one a go!
And again, you’re so welcome! Looking forward to reading your post – I’ll keep an eye out for it! xx
