Hi again everyone! How are you all doing?
Today I’m going to be reviewing the Brightside Bubble Bar from Lush which I have been loving recently – I mentioned this in my little Lush haul!
It’s rare that I ever shop at Lush to be honest, mainly because I think that the prices are a little high but also because I just haven’t been able to find that one scent that really works for me!
But I was in there last week and came across the Brightside Bubble Bar – and let’s just say that I’m going to be heading into Lush much more now!
So here it is! I love the colours and, as with most things in Lush, you can kind of tell that it’s going to make your bath go a crazy colour!
This is one of the more expensive bath products that Lush make at £4.75, but I think you pay a little more because of the size – I mean, you can see yourself that it’s pretty big!
And as usual, I bought this in one of the little paper bags that Lush have, which look cute but aren’t ideal once you’ve used it a few times! I have a little tub on my bath side that I keep all of my Lush bits and bobs in which is acrylic – it keeps everything neat and tidy and means I can avoid spillages!
And here is the Bubble Bar in the bath!
To create all of these bubbles you don’t just throw it into the bath like you would a bath bomb – you just break of a piece and crumble it under the running water.
On the Lush website, it says that you should be able to get 2 baths out of this – but honestly, I feel like if I used half of this in one bath the mountains of bubbles would reach the ceiling! I find using a quarter is more than enough, and that way it lasts longer too. The bubbles also last a really long time!
And it makes the bath water go bright orange, but it doesn’t stain the bath unlike some of Lush’s brighter products (oh, the days when I’ve sat scrubbing at the sides of my bath!).
One thing that I would say though is that if you don’t crumble the pieces small enough, you can end up with little pieces in the bottom of the bath – not very nice at all! After a while they do dissolve, but I tend to run my bath and get straight in – ideally, I don’t want to have to stand around waiting for the little chunks to dissolve.
And my final comment is the scent – ah, I love love love it! 100% my favourite scent that Lush make – I find a lot of them too sickly, and some of them just not to my taste, but as I’m a huge fan of citrus scents this one is just perfect. It’s not too strong but I can still smell it (don’t you just hate the bath bombs that have so little scent you can’t even smell them at all?).
Type: Bubble Bar
Amount of baths: 4
Scent: 5/5 (citrusy, orangey and fresh – perfect for spring!)
Overall quality: 4/5 (just make it dissolve a little faster, and I’m sold!)
What’s your favourite Lush product?
