Hey everyone! Happy Sunday!
How fast is 2015 going? I’ll probably say this in every favourites this year, but honestly, before we know it Christmas will be here again.
Anyway, March has come and gone which means it’s March favourites time! I love these posts because it’s just a case of me gushing about my favourite things. What’s not to like?
First up is a pricey little bugger – the Giorgio Armarni Si perfume. Oh, goodness. I do love this stuff! I think I got a free sample of it with an order from Boots (the joys of ordering too much!) and I had to go back and get the bigger bottle because I can’t get enough!
If you’ve been here for a while, you probably already know that I’m absolutely rubbish at describing scents so I’m not even going to try – all I can say is that it’s musky, slightly sweet and quite sexy too. My perfect scent? I think so!
Gosh, help me when it runs out though!
As for skincare, I’m having a major love affair with the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. Now this is expensive as Origins is a higher end brand (why do you think I got the small bottle?!) but if you have dry skin every single penny is totally worth it!
I have very dry, dehydrated skin and this is the best drink I could possibly give it! You just apply a very thin layer onto the skin before you go to sleep, tissue of the excess and then just leave it (but I’m lazy sometimes and don’t tissue it off *smacks hand*). When I wake up after applying this I feel like a brand new person, I promise you! Well, maybe that’s a bit extreme, but my skin certainly feels brand new. So soft, and makeup slides on so beautifully!
So if you’re skin’s thirsty, get this! Plus it smells of apricot yoghurt, which in my books can’t be a bad thing.
My hair favourite for March has been the TIGI Restorative Illuminoil (excuse the slightly grubby packaging), which I wouldn’t shush about when I first started sshhbeauty. I then let my obsession slip for a while… But it’s come back in full force now; I’m loving it again!
This is just the best serum for the ends of your hair if you struggle with frizz like moi. I blow dry my hair and take a good half an hour out of my evening fussing with it – to wake up the next morning with frizz frizz frizz.
So, on those days, I just use half a pump and comb it through the ends of my hair with my fingers… And voila! My hair looks sleek, shiny and smooth. Bye-bye frizz!
I’ve only got one makeup favourite this month (what’s wrong with me?!) and it’s The Body Shop Honey Bronzer, which I mentioned in my recent beauty haul. Seeing as I’m pale – really pale, shall I say – I struggle to find a bronzer that doesn’t leave me looking a bit muddy. Seeing as this one is aimed towards those of us with paler skin I couldn’t wait to try it – and I have to say, I’m pretty impressed!
Firstly, how Guerlain-esque is the compact? It’s so cute, and so high-end for something quite reasonably priced. The actual bronzer itself is beautifully pigmented and the perfect colour for my pale complexion. I get a warm glow but don’t end up looking tangoed, which has to be a good thing.
And, for the finale, I have to mention my Blush Brush from Real Techniques. Talk about a multi-tasker!
I have been using this gem for practically everything – powder, bronzer, blusher, highlighter – everything. I’m going to have to get another one because I just use it so much! It applies all powders naturally to the skin, so even if you’re heavy handed I doubt you could go wrong with this. It’s also tapered so it fits in the hollows of your cheeks if you’re after a subtle contour. This and my Honey Bronzer have gone hand-in-hand throughout March!
So March is done and dusted!
What have you been loving this month!
April here we come…
