Benefit goodies!

Hey everyone! Happy Saturday! The weekend’s finally here and I couldn’t be happier.

To celebrate the arrival of my favourite time of the week, I took a trip to John Lewis to take it all out on my purse… And let’s just say that I won’t be going shopping again for a little while!

I thought I’d share with you the brand-new goodies I picked up from the Benefit counter earlier today (with the help of the most lovely shop assistant. Thank you Benefit for having such helpful and kind staff!).

My first purchase wasn’t spur of the moment at all, because I’ve been planning this deed for a fair while. Yes, you guessed it – ROLLERLASH. Why oh why has it taken me so long to pick this tube of magic up?

The thing is, I’m a fussy madam when it comes to my lashes – “this one’s too clumpy, this one irritates my eyes, this one has a rubbish wand”… Goldilocks much?
But right now I’m so happy with every other makeup product in my routine apart from mascara, and after having such incredible before and after photos plaguing my Instagram feed, I took the plunge and picked it up.

I have to say that I haven’t given it a go yet, but expect a review soon. I’m expecting great things to say the least!

I honestly didn’t think it’d be my cup of tea whatsoever – pink blushers will forever have a place in my heart – but I’m so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone because I ain’t going back any time soon!

This blusher is just the perfect powder for summer time, because not only is it peachy and beautiful, it adds a bronze-glow to the skin too – the perfect way to forge sunkissed skin without looking muddy and orange.

And I know people hate Benefit’s packaging, but I can’t help loving the cute little box!

So, thanks to Benefit and they’re cute packaging, I’ll be living on bread and cheese for a couple of weeks.

NO. MORE. SHOPPING.

    1. It’s so pretty! When I swatched it I wasn’t that impressed but as soon as it was on my cheeks I fell in love.
And I thought I was the only mascara Goldilocks too! So funny that we both feel the same about that… I’m really hoping that Rollerlash will be that JUST RIGHT mascara.
      And thank you lovely! xx

    1. I’ve never tried the brushes! Which ones your favourite? Will have to check those out next time I’m near a counter (not that I need to spend any more money at the moment!) xx

      1. haha – but brushes laaaast so long if you treat them right 😁… my favourite is the powder brush [for eyes] perfectly shaped for getting in the crease! Followed by their slanted blush brush xxx

      2. I’ll tell myself they’ll be a worthwhile investment then… Although like I said shopping isn’t on my to-do list at the minute!
And I’m always after a brush that makes blending through the crease easier; I’ll have a look into that! Thanks for the recommendations lovely! xx

    1. You’re just making me more excited to try it! Sounds so amazing!
And yes, I’ve heard that’s a good foundation, and quite light on the skin too. I have to say though I had it applied at a Benefit counter a little while ago and seem to remember it going a bit patchy and greasy on my skin, so I’d definitely test it first! xx

      1. I seem to remember having it applied and it going really patchy and oxidising so I looked orange. I’m not sure if it’s the way it was applied, the fact she didn’t use a powder, I’m not sure – I can just remember being not very impressed with it! x

    1. It’s so gorgeous! I’m in love! So unique as well; I own too many pink blushers so it’s nice to have a bit of coral as a change!
And I’ll be sure to let you know what I think as soon as I can lovely! Have you tried it? x

      1. No I haven’t tried it yet. I hope to sometime. Though my Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara is supposed to be very similar and I love that! πŸ™‚ x

      2. It’s funny that we were discussing that mascara last week! I just haven’t gotten along with it though.
Here’s hoping the Benefit one will impress me more! x
