My holiday beauty bag

The summer here in the UK is at it’s peak time right now – the sun is still blasting through the window even though it’s nearly 8PM – and along with the summer sometimes comes a holiday away.

I was lucky enough to go away a few weeks ago and I thought it’d be nice to show you the contents of the makeup bag that I brought along with me, to maybe give you inspiration if you’re going away anytime soon.

Okee-dokee, I guess I’ll go through the bits and pieces in my bag now and maybe tell you why I bought each item with me!

~ OLAY: Total Effects 7-in-1 CC Cream: Light to Medium ~ I love this CC cream. It gives me a sheer tint but also makes my skin look dewy and radiant, which is so flattering in the sunshine.
~ RIMMEL: Wake Me Up Concealer: Ivory ~ Now I’ve discovered this concealer I will use no other! It’s just amazing! Gives good coverage under the eyes but isn’t thick or cakey.
~ MAX FACTOR: Crème Puff Pressed Powder: 05 Transparent ~ This powder does the job of blotting excess shine without leaving a powdery layer on the skin.

~ BENEFIT: Coralista ~ Ooh, this blusher is such a must-have in any holiday beauty bag in my opinion. That peachy, coral-y tone gives the cheeks a sunkissed and radiant look without looking orange. I can’t get enough of it!
~ MAX FACTOR: Miracle Touch Creamy Blush: Soft Murano ~ These cream blusher have such a gorgeous formula and mesh really well with the skin in the summer, leaving the cheeks fresh and dewy! (I forgot to photograph it though, woopsie)
~ NARS: Dual Intensity Blush: Adoration ~ I’m OBSESSED with this too at the minute. It’s my first NARS purchase and it hasn’t disappointed me! I love the deep pink but the highlighter is just my favourite.

~ MAYBELLINE: Colour Tattoo: On and On Bronze ~ Since purchasing this little baby in my recent beauty haul, I’ve pretty much worn it every single day – including the days of my holiday! It didn’t crease even slightly and lasted through the heat, which I applaud it for.
~ MAX FACTOR: Smokey Eye Drama Kit: Opulent Nudes ~ This little palette is so affordable yet such high quality! The matte shades are insanely pigmented and I can use them on the lid or to shape my eyebrows.
~ BOBBI BROWN: Sparkle Eyeshadow: Cement ~ To be honest, I didn’t use this eyeshadow that much, just because it does have a fair bit of fallout and wasn’t in the mood to be patient with it! It does give a stunning shine to the lids though and I do use it a LOT at home (REVIEW HERE).
~ MAC: Extra Dimension Eyeshadow: Smoky Mauve ~ This is a very recent purchase and I wore it pretty much every day of the holiday! It’s such a unique colour and the pigment is amazing. I used my finger to press this onto the lids and it gave them an almost wet-look!
~ MAYBELLINE: Lash Sensational ~ AMAZING. Nothing more to say. (REVIEW HERE)
~ MAYBELLINE: Brow Drama: Dark Brown ~ This coloured brow gel gives my brows a slightly fuller effect but still allows them to look oh-so-natural, which I love.

~ L’OREAL: Collection Exclusive Lipstick: J-Lo’s Nude ~ My go-to nude lippie! It goes with absolutely everything, and for those of you who’ve been asking a review of this will be up very soon.
~ REVLON: Lip Butter: Sweet Tart ~ I hadn’t worn this for ages before my holiday, so I took it to give it some love – and it’s turned out to be a favourite! Such a stunning bright pink.
~ YSL: Rouge Volupte Lipstick: Peach Passion ~ Nothing like peachy lips in the sunshine. I love love love this colour and formula!
~ YSL: Volupte Sheer Candy Balm: Iced Plum ~ This, again, is such a summery shade and I wore it a heck of a lot whilst I was away. It’s sheerer than the other YSL lipstick, but it’s more nourishing and glossy.

PHEW! That was a post and a half, right? Sorry it was a long’un, but I hope you enjoyed it regardless.

Which products do YOU take away on holiday with you?

El x

PS My makeup bag is from FeelUnique! It came free with an order.
