Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend… And if you haven’t, hopefully this post will bring some light to it!
As you’ve probably guessed by that title up there, today’s post is dedicated to hauling all things luxury and expensive. I can’t recall doing an only high-end haul before, so why not do just that?
I’ve been picking up quite a few pricier products recently and I thought I’d round them all up and share them with you!
First up is a lipgloss from Benefit. I’ve only just realised that I may or may not have mentioned this in a previous haul, so if I have I do apologise… But you’re seeing it again! I just fancied a tube lipgloss, because I’ve been in a couple of situations recently when the lids on glosses with a doe-foot applicator have just completely twisted and leak if they’re in my bag.
For some reason tube glosses just seem so much more travel friendly to me and I’d heard good things about the formula of Benefit ones! I picked up Sugarbomb which is actually such a pretty shade for everyday use – and the reviews I’ve read were oh-so-right. There ain’t no stickiness whatsoever.
The next few items are from MAC, because a) I love the brand in general but b) I needed one specific product… And ended up coming out with three. Oops.
The first is a pigment in the shade Blue Brown, and oh my goodness I love this shade. If you’re trying to break free from your neutral comfort zone by using some bolder shadows but you don’t fancy going the whole Electric Palette route, I think you’d really like this! It’s so unusual: a red toned brown… But it shines blue? I know, it baffles me too! It makes more sense in the swatch below – keep scrolling to the end to see that.
Also at the same time I discovered this GORGEOUS eyeshadow from the Extra Dimension range. The shade Smokey Mauve really stood out to me and I couldn’t resist it.
Similar to the Blue Brown situation, if you like neutrals but you fancy using some different colours, I’m sure that you’d treasure a shade like this! It’s a mauve (as the name would suggest) with a silver shimmer running through it which gives it an almost wet look on the eye.
I personally enjoy packing it on with my fingertip for maximum intensity (I’m all for that) but you could by all means use a fluffy brush if you prefer something sheerer. There’s also zero fallout with this gem – YAY for non-glittery cheeks!
Finally we have the product that I went into the store to get in the first place – and I’m sure you won’t be surprised to find out that it’s Soar Lip Pencil. Ah, have I been lusting after this!
This is one of the cult lip liners that Kylie Jenner uses, and although it’s been revealed that she has had some fillers in her lips (which, by the way, I don’t judge her for one bit), this lip liner does, in a way, make your lips look that little bit pout-ier. Carry on scrolling for a swatch!
And then… I was incredibly naughty. But I couldn’t help it.
Ever since splurging on the Naked 1 from Urban Decay at around Easter this year, and already owning the Naked On The Run, I’ve had a major love affair with Urban Decay eyeshadows. A MAJOR love affair.
So seeing as it had been a battle between the Naked 1 and 2 in the first place, I got the Naked 2 as well.
I don’t own many taupe-toned eyeshadows so I can already see that I’m going to be getting a TONNE of use out of this stunning palette. I will be reviewing it soon so I’ll save all thoughts for that… But so far, I’m kind of obsessed.
And the final product is this kind of ridiculous haul is my first ever NARS product… I can’t believe I finally caved! It’s no secret that I’ve wanted something from this brand since I started this blog, and I only just fulfilled it which is just bizarre.
Anywho, after several trips to several counters, and several ‘ums’ and ‘ahs’, I finally went for the Dual Intensity Blush in Adoration. And can we just take a minute to admire it.
I. Love. NARS. I need more! I love this blusher and highlighter duo so, so much. The highlighter is just perfect for me because I like pink-y tones as opposed to golden tones on my cheeks, and that hot pink blusher – well, it speaks for itself really.
Again, I’ll be reviewing it so let’s save all thoughts until then. But I get excited just TALKING about it so I’m sure you can guess if it’ll be a positive or negative review.
L to R: MAC Smokey Mauve – NARS Adoration – MAC Blue Brown – (gloss which I swatched but I realised I hauled it ages ago!) – MAC Soar Lip Pencil – Benefit Sugarbomb – Urban Decay Naked 2: Snakebite, Suspect, Half Baked
And that, my lovely readers, is the end of a rather splurge-y high-end beauty haul.
But we all need a bit of luxury sometimes, am I right?
Let me know if you’ve tried any of these items in the comments below!
