Happy Wednesday everyone! We’re halfway to the weekend and I can almost taste Halloween – eep!
Anywho, I funnily have a very non-Halloween related post to share with you today, and it’s part 2 of my (slightly ridiculous) beauty haul. If you’d like to see part 1, just click here. As mentioned in the first chunk of the haul, I didn’t really have a reason to buy all of these goodies… I just haven’t been shopping for what feels like forever; a good enough excuse in my opinion.
Firstly I have a blusher from MAC – unfortunately it’s a limited edition one! It was part of the Toledo Collection which I believe came out around spring time but do correct me if I’m wrong, and it’s the Ombré Blush in Azalea Blossom.
I chased this flipping blusher down throughout the time that the Toldeo Collection was out and I just could not get my hands on it in all that time. It kind of broke my heart, but I gradually accepted that I was never going to have it, unless I was willing to pay over £50 for it on eBay (which I wasn’t!).
I’d sort of forgotten about it until last week I popped into a local discount makeup store which sells unpopular MAC products as well as beauty items from a bunch of other brands… And lo and behold, Azalea Blossom was waiting for me there – discounted from £25 to £17.50!
Chuffed is an understatement – I’m totally smitten with it! I own a few mauve blushers but nothing near this shade which is full out violet purple, but it surprisingly looks very natural on the skin and pairs beautifully with any plum lipstick.
*I can’t find a link as the stock at the makeup store’s limited*
And then, for the final main event *drumroll please* I picked up my first ever product from Tom Ford… And can we just take a minute to pray for my purse, which is now completely and utterly empty?
So I finally chose the product I wanted to try, as there’s several things that are rather lust-worthy from this brand – it went from a lipstick to a blusher, but I eventually went for the Eye Colour Quad in 12 Seductive Rose.
Just a wee warning – this is a stupidly expensive product and I do kind of hate myself for buying it, but at the same time I have been saving up my pennies to splurge on something from Tom Ford, so I suppose it’s allowed?
This quad is just the most beautiful thing my makeup collection has ever seen, and I chose this shade because I just know that I will get so much wear out of the gorgeous rose-plum tones during A/W, but also in the warmer months.
I haven’t had chance to use my palette yet but the lovely lady on the counter when I purchased it popped them on for me and explained her thoughts on the shades, and I fell in love with the look she created.
There’s two glitter shades – a pink in the pan which comes of as a stunning glossy glimmer, and then a purple-taupe which looks stunning in the centre of the lid. There’s also a satin pale pink which would look lovely dusted all over the lid or on the brow-bone and a rich plum, possibly the highlight for me.
Expect a review of this very soon because it’s just too beautiful!
Have you tried anything from Tom Ford… Or one of the MAC blushers? What do you think?
Lots of love… And Happy Halloween if I don’t speak to you sooner!
