Seeing as I haven’t shared my updated makeup bag with you in over 6 months, I thought it was about time that I did just that! Since the last time I wrote about delving into the contents, my favourite products have changed a great deal so I can’t wait to share them with you!
Foundation: Rimmel Wake Me Up in 100 Ivory // As you’ll know from my January Favourites I am a huge fan of this foundation! I have very dry skin, and this hydrates and gives a gorgeous dewy glow.
Concealer: MAC Prolongwear in NC15 // This is a pretty new concealer for me but I’ve honestly fallen head over heels for it, especially considering my skin has been rather temperamental recently! If you’re after a full coverage but not drying concealer, I would recommend this for you any day.
Powder: Seventeen Miracle Matte in Ivory Porcelain // This is my favourite powder of all time, simply because it’s incredibly finely milled yet keeps any oil at bay.
Bronzer: Benefit Hoola // Not only is this in a handy mini compact, I am also a huge fan of the undertones of this bronzer: not orange but also not too cool and ashy. I often pop this into the crease of my eye too to warm things up there as well as on my cheekbones and temples.
Blusher: Max Factor Crème Puff Blush in Nude Mauve // I carry this one in my makeup bag simply because it compliments absolutely any lip colour or eye look that you throw at it just beautifully! It’s also in a handy small compact.
Highlighter: theBalm Mary Lou Manizer // Although probably not the best for travel as it is quite soft, I can’t bear to be parted from my one true love in life! I am also loving the Sleek Solstice palette at the minute but it’s quite big so this is better for on the go.
Base: Maybelline Creamy Matte Colour Tattoo in Crème de Rose // I actually forgot to include this in my photos (silly me!) but I think a base is essential whether you’re travelling or not! I really love the shade of Crème de Rose – a basic milky pink with a taupe tint, perfect for popping on if you’re in a rush.
Lid: I would actually just use a swipe of my Mary Lou Manizer on the lids! It’s a gorgeous champagne-gold that looks beautiful used in this way. It also means there’s less to pack.
Crease: Again, I would use a face product; a dab of Hoola will definitely do the trick to add some definition!
Liner: Zoeva Cat Eye Pen in Blackest Black // I’ll have to pick up another one of these liner pens ASAP as my one is currently withering on its last legs, but either way I love this product. I’m a complete amateur when it comes to winging out my liner, and this is as easy to use as a felt tip pen.
Brows: Max Factor Smokey Eye Drama Kit in Lavish Onyx // I do prefer my Opulent Nudes palette from Max Factor, but seeing as I’ve smashed one of the shades *cries* it’s not the mots practical for on the go! I use the darkest shade to sort my eyebrows out, seeing as I’m trying to grow them and they look horrific right now.
Mascara: Benefit Roller Lash // To be honest, I’m not sure I’m totally sold on this mascara at the moment – we have a very love-hate relationship, and at the moment it is irritating me. I’m trying to finish it up so I can buy a new one to try!
Lip balm: Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Raspberry // I reviewed this on Wednesday and am totally in love with it! As well as keeping my lips hydrated it’s also mega glossy and almost adds another layer to them, making them look plumper.
Nude: Rimmel Kate Moss in 08 // My ULTIMATE nude option – no question about it! I love this colour and the formula is gorgeous too! Read about it here in my favourite lip combo post.
Sheer: Benefit Posiebalm // This has mango butter in which keeps lips smooth and soft, whilst adding a hint of pink at the same time! Perfect for upcoming spring (which, by the way, can’t come soon enough).
Colour: MAC Syrup // This could be classed as nude as it is quite neutral, but it’s a mix of purple, pink and nude so I’m passing it off in this category! Although very easy to wear it adds a nice pop of colour to any neutral makeup look.
– Zoeva 102 Silk Finish (foundation and concealer)
– Zoeva 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek (blusher, bronzer and highlighter)
– Zoeva 227 Luxe Soft Definer (for base colour)
– Zoeva 221 Luxe Soft Crease (for crease definition)
PHEW, that was a flipping long’un to write! I hope you guys enjoyed delving into my makeup bag with me!
