March Favourites | 2016

Hello… Long time no see, eh? Well, a couple of weeks is a pretty large gap for me!

I have to apologise that I’ve been a bit MIA as of late, but I can assure you that I’m getting things back on track in terms of keeping in check with my blogging schedule. To jump back to it I have my March favourites for you!

March, for me, wasn’t really a month for trying out new things. It was more a month of rediscovering items that I already own and are just lacking in a little bit of love!

Even though my favourites from January and February are still things I’m enjoying, there’s a few products I wanted to share with you today!

The Body Shop Instablur: Mentioning this primer appears to be becoming a bit of a habit, don’t you think? I have to say though, each word is worth it because I simply cannot praise this product enough. As I discussed with you in my review which you can read here I’ve never been a bit fan of primers, but this is truly a different species as far as I’m concerned! It immediately sinks in so you don’t have to experience that greasy layer which I’ve grown to despise when it comes to items such as this… And if that isn’t surprising enough, it actually WORKS. My foundation remains smooth and shine free from the moment I apply to the moment I wash my skin at night.

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer: Wow, I’m an awful creature of habit! However, I can’t get enough of this beautiful highlighter. It may be a powder, but it’s so rich in pigment and the sheen is so far from shimmer that it may as well be a cream in formula. At first I used to swirl my brush like a madwoman into the compact and end up looking like a flipping GreekΒ goddess – not that it isn’t beautiful to look like that at a party, but I’m sure the man on the moon could see my cheekbones – so I’ve grown to learn that you literally need to tap your brush into the product for a gorgeous natural sheen.

Rimmel WonderFull Wake Me Up Mascara: I was not a huge fan of the original WonderFull mascara from Rimmel, but I was very intrigued when they released a new edition to the line – cucumber scented, may I add, which is a bonus for a girl like me who adores that smell! At first I wasn’t keen because the brush is flipping huge and I’ve become more partial to a thin plastic wand, but I love the length & volume that this gives my lashes, despite it being tricky to get the hang of thanks to the giant brush! I’ve really noticed myself reaching over my Benefit They’re Real and Maybelline Lash Sensational to grab this; something unheard of seeing as they are two of my favourites.

Rimmel Lip Liner in East End Snob: Ah, it seems to be the month for Rimmel in my books! East End Snob is a very popular shade when it comes to blogs & vlogs, and I really do like it. I don’t own many lip pencils; I like MAC Soar but it’s quite deep and I fancied something paler for spring. I’ve generally just been wearing this alone with clear gloss on top, or I’ve used it underneath Tom Ford’s Pussycat to give the colour more dimension. Overall, it’s a fabulous bargain and although a little drying I’ll be repurchasing for sure!

What have you enjoyed throughout the month of March? I’d love to know!

  1. Lovely favourites as always!
I’m also loving Mary-Lou at the moment, I can’t get enough of highlights. I’ve been using MAC Lightscapade quite a lot too, it’s more pearl toned and a bit more subtle than Mary-Lou so good for an every day kind of glow.

    1. Haha thank you my lovely!
And I haven’t really heard of Lightscapade – Soft and Gentle is obviously the most popular but I’ll have to look into this shade more! Sometimes Mary-Lou can be a bit TOO much I’m sure you’ll agree! πŸ™‚ xx

    1. Oh yes, I’ve seen the pencil forms! Although a pain to sharpen I find the product crumbles from time to time in this twist up pen, so maybe I’ll try that next! πŸ™‚ it’s a beautiful colour! xx
