I was naughty once again, and managed to find myself on the train home from a day out at my local shopping centre struggling to juggle bags from MAC, Debehams and Harvey Nicholls.
So… Here’s what happened!
First off I stopped over at the Nars counter, as I was recently intrigued by their gorgeous Dual Intensity Eyeshadows. Aside from the wide shade variety they can be used dry for a subtle sweep of colour or wet for a high-impact glossy finish, and I love that with that option comes so much versatility.
I was initially planning on picking up a couple of the singles, but I ended up with the palette (as always!) and just one of the single compacts in the shade Callisto – a silver pink with an incredible reflex to it. I purchased the palette after much deliberation because inside are actually several of the other singles I was looking into, so it was far more cost effective to indulge in that!
I just ran out of my first tube of Maybelline’s Lash Sensational mascara and immediately knew that I needed another! I have already started using it and have had my eyes reopened to the brilliance of drugstore mascaras! This gives such exceptional length and separation and I love the way that it frames my eyes.
Seeing as I’ve been enjoying the Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter from The Balm so very much I couldn’t wait to invest in the Cindy-Lou Manizer, which is more of a peachy tone whereas Mary is more champagne-gold. I have to say that I’m not disappointed either!
I’m a big fan of Benefit’s Coralista, but that’s more of an orangey-peach and I think it can look unflattering on my super pale complexion sometimes. Cindy-Lou has still got that sunkissed peach tint but it’s more pink, making it a lot more wearable. Similar to the Mary-Lou, the product is super pigmented and you only need the tiniest amount to get a gorgeous sheen!
Finally, another something for the eyes. Although I didn’t get the hype over the traditional MAC pigments which are loose, I’ve always loved the look of the pressed version – I mean, less mess but still plenty of sparkle… What’s not to like?! After many um’s and ah’s I finally chose Black Grape which has so much dimension and sparkle to it!
I actually used some on my lids today and I can’t get enough of it! The product is to pigmented and the colour is so unique! I love how purple tones sit with my dark eyes and hair too.
