KIKO Makeup Haul!

I have to say, as embarrassing as this is, one of the highlights of my holiday was that, upon arriving, I discovered that there was a KIKO store just minutes away from the apartment. I only own a couple of makeup products from the brand, but I hear so many people talking about it and I just had to pop in and pick up a few bits and pieces while I had the opportunity to!

The first thing I picked up is actually a skincare product, and I’m not usually one to experiment with different brands when it comes to skincare but I just couldn’t resist giving this Moonlight Oil Serum a go! I’m not sure if this is readily available because I can’t find it on the website, but it’s a gorgeous product nonetheless. I love the packaging; a sleek silver tube with a *click* lid and a pipette so you can use as much or as little as you like. I tried it on my hand in store and I don’t think my hand has ever felt softer! I haven’t actually used it on my face yet but as soon as I do I’ll let you know my thoughts.

I also decided to try out one of their lipsticks, and I chose the Ultra Glossy Stylo in the shade 802 Nude, and I have tried this and I am totally in love with it. It’s not too pigmented (I’d liken it’s formula to the MAC Lustre lipsticks) but it has a gorgeous glossy finish and does give a good amount of colour! I’ve been after a paler nude shade for a while because most of the ones I already own are a bit deeper, so I was rather chuffed with this purchase. It also has SPF 15 which is brilliant for the sunshine we’ve been getting here in the UK, AND it smells of vanilla. Sold.

I then picked up a couple of eye products. I’ve been so desperate to try some of KIKO’s Water Eyeshadows, and although my favourite shade from the selection available (200) was out of stock for the whole holiday *sobs*, I did find 215 Midnight Blue to be pretty beautiful too. The formula is really rich in pigment and buttery too, and I believe you can use them wet or dry which is amazing. I’ll be sure to let you know in a review or an Instagram post how I get on with this gorgeous colour!

The final product I picked up is from a limited edition collection ‘The Beauty Games’ and I think it has already sold out online (but if you’re interested I’m sure it’ll come back in stock!). It’s the Beauty Energy Mascara, and I picked up the shade 04 Energetic Indigo which is an electric blue! This is such a throwback product; I remember years ago when coloured mascara was just the thing of the moment and I also remember how trendy it was to wear it! I’ve fallen in love with this mascara for accenting the lower lashline – I use a regular black mascara on the upper lashes and load up my bottom lashes with this, and I’ve honestly been obsessed with the effect it gives. SO summer appropriate, and they had some other gorgeous colours.

Have you tried anything from KIKO Cosmetics? I’d love to place an online order with your recommendations!
