I’m so excited to finally be sharing my makeup collection with you all! I’ve wanted to do this post for so long but it’s only now that I’m finally happy with how my products are organised, and being a perfectionist I wanted to wait until I was totally content before I showed you. I’m going to be showing you just the face drawer today, and I’ll share my eye and lip drawers in the upcoming weeks!
I recently did a little clear-out of my beauty stash so I feel much more productive when I look at the products I’ve kept hold of – I know I use and love everything I have at the moment (if I don’t feel like I’m using a product I’ll pass it on to family members or friends where I’m sure it’ll get more attention!). Also, I have purchased 99% of the products you see here with my own money; the occasional item may have been sent to me or gifted to me by family and friends, but because I run this beauty blog it’s very easy to accumulate a fair bit of makeup!
So here’s an overview of the face drawer so you can see where I keep everything! I store all of my makeup in the Alex 5 Drawer Unit from IKEA, and I use the top three drawers for beauty and the other drawers for skincare and haircare. To separate the products in the drawers I use the plastic separator trays from Muji and also some storage from TK Maxx!
So, on the right-hand side of the drawer, I have some foundations at the back and some cheek products in front. Foundations-wise, they’re pretty much all drugstore because I don’t wear foundation daily and I don’t like to spend too much on it for that very reason! My absolute favourite is the L’Oréal Lumi Magique which is so glowy and lightweight yet has brilliant coverage, and I’m also enjoying the Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint.
As for the products in front, I’ve got some creamy formulas on the right such as my NARS Copacabana highlighter and Soft Murano Creamy Blusher from Max Factor, as well as my new Steven Klein Cheek Palette (also from NARS!).
Underneath the NARS palette I have a couple of products that I don’t really use too often but I still want to keep hold of (for now, at least). I’ve got the Solstice Highlighting Palette from Sleek, a limited edition MAC blusher and some cheek & lip tints from Benefit.
Alongside my foundations I have a smaller container where I keep concealers! My favourite for under-eyes is the Rimmel Wake Me Up and the best for covering blemishes is the Pro Longwear from MAC. I also have a travel-sized MAC Fix+ here, and in the small section behind that I’ve got my Bare Minerals Original Foundation, some MAC samples and a couple of Benefit brushes.
I have a little container holding some primers, which I don’t use daily but they’re always handy for days when I need my makeup to stay put! I’ve got several mini primers from Benefit as well as a full sized MAC Fix+ (which I do use pretty much on the daily), the Instablur from The Body Shop (see my review here) and the Happy Light from Bourjois which I often mix into my foundation.
My favourite part of this drawer is definitely my blusher and bronzer section! I love collecting blushers of different shades as well as experimenting with bronzers (as I am rather pale…).
I’ve got some pressed powders in the back (my favourites are Makeup Revolution and Seventeen), as well as The Body Shop’s Honey Bronzer and the Solar Powder from Soap & Glory; both of which I love! I also have a Bobbi Brown Cream Blusher tucked in the side.
In front of those I have a couple of Lou-Manizers from The Balm. I reach for these products so often, especially the Mary Lou-Manizer which is the most beautiful golden highlighter! Next to those I’ve got two boxed powders from Benefit – Coralista and Rockateur – as well as the Bourjois Java Rice Powder and another Bobbi Brown Cream Blush.
Finally for my face drawer I have (yet another) row of blushers!
It’s a right old mix in here; I’ve got a couple of drugstore ones from The Body Shop and KIKO as well as some more expensive ones from MAC and NARS, but at the moment my favourites from this little compartment are the Laura Mercier Pink Mosaic Shimmer Bloc and Zoeva’s Luxe Colour Blush in ‘He Loves Me Maybe’!
So that is everything from my face drawer! My eye and lip drawers will be featured in the next couple of weeks!
What’s your favourite blusher?
