Products Worth the Save #3

I love to update my ‘products worth the save’ series every now and again, because I think there are so many brilliant affordable products that are underrated and deserve to be buzzed about! I thought I’d share some new highstreet items that I’ve discovered since my last posts and hopefully I can save you some pennies.

If you’re after a foundation that’s lightweight but still gives beautiful coverage, the L’Oréal Lumi Magique would probably work wonderfully for you. I’d say that this has to be my favourite foundation simply because you don’t need to build it much at all to cover any imperfections and it gives a gorgeous glowy finish. If you want to try the YSL Touche Eclat but you’re wary of the price tag, maybe try this first because I’ve heard they’re super similar. I’ve been setting that into place with the Makeup Revolution Radiant Lights Powder in Breathe purely because it allows my skin to glow whilst still locking things in!It’s finely milled and all round something I’d recommend. You can read my review & see swatches here.

Although it’s not super affordable (I believe it’s £11), the Soap & Glory Solar Powder is much cheaper than high-end bronzers and I use it religiously! Being a pale skinned gal I find bronzers the hardest thing to work with, and this one warms my complexion without looking orange or unnatural. It also blends like a dream! You can hear my full thoughts in my review here. And, as I think that with a bronzed look a glow is essential, I just had to mention the Solstice Highlighting Palette from Sleek . You get four different highlight shades all of which are really pigmented and glossy looking. You can see swatches and my thoughts in my full review here!

I was always an eyebrow powder girl until I discovered the (amazing) NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade. This is brilliant! It’s basically a gel liner… For your brows? If you’ve got sparse brows you can really thicken them up, but if yours are naturally full (like mine) you can use this to create a really lovely shape. It’s different to anything I’ve tried before, but it’s surprisingly easy to use and it lasts really well during the day! I’m also a huge fan of the Max Factor Smokey Eye Drama Kits for brows, but you can use the powders as eyeshadows too! They’re really buttery and amazingly pigmented.

I know that this isn’t a permanent product but I have to say that I’m in love with the Energetic Indigo Beauty Energy Mascara from KIKO at the moment, which I mentioned in a haul post here. I feel like coloured mascaras are generally exclusive to higher end brands, and to look for one you’re probably going to need to visit YSL or Benefit, so I love that KIKO has gone super accessible with this product. I love using it on my lower eyelashes as an accent, and it’s brilliant to add a pop of colour.

I’ve had some new drugstore lip product discoveries relatively recently and I had to share them with you in this post! The first are the Soft Matte Lip Creams from NYX which I simply have to recommend – they’re a creamy and hydrating matte product that I think is great for people who are just dipping their toes into the matte lip trend. I also think that the Soap & Glory lipstick in Pommie Girl is just beautiful for matte lips too, because it’s a long lasting but moisturising formula that feels high-end! If you like glossy lips though I can’t recommend the L’Oréal Cream Glosses enough. My favourite is the hot pink ‘Mafia Gloss’, but I have several and love them all. You can read my review & see lip swatches here.

What are your favourite drugstore products? I’d love to try some new bits!
