Autumn Beauty Haul!

Before I begin, I want to apologise for being so MIA recently! Almost a whole month without blogging! Everything seemed to arrive at once and I just haven’t had a second to sit down… But I’m back now! πŸ™‚

I feel like I haven’t hauled in so long! I really love sharing new bits and pieces that I have recently picked up with you guys as I feel like I can impart some of my excitement about them onto you, and hopefully inspire you to go shopping and have a little treat yo’ self moment.

The first beauty product I’ve picked up recently is pretty new out from Urban Decay, and it’s their Colour Correcting Fluid in the shade Pink. I was really intrigued to try this product as I’ve got such dark circles (zombie lookalike, maybe?!) that anything claiming to brighten and lift dark areas has grabbed my attention already. And heads up before a full review coming soon – I flipping love it! Creamy, pigmented, brightening… Beauty sleep in a bottle. Amazing.

I also finally decided to pick up one of Tanya Burr’s Eye Palettes because people have gone crazy for these ever since they launched. After much deliberating I settled on the Galaxy Eye Palette, and while the colours look pretty in the packaging I have to say that id I’d swatched them first I wouldn’t have bought it. The formula is quite powdery and takes ages to build up on the eye as the pigment isn’t great. I was just really disappointed by it as Tanya uses them so often in her tutorials!

My liquid liner ran out a couple of weeks ago (mid-way through a cat-flick too, such convenience!) so I popped into Boots and picked up the L’OrΓ©al Super Liner Perfect Slim. My sister owns this and she let me borrow hers a while back and since then it’s all I’ve wanted! The nib is so fine that you can be really precise with your wing’s shape and thickness, and it lasts brilliantly.

Also from L’OrΓ©al I decided to finally pick up a new mascara! My beloved Lash Sensational just hasn’t been up to scratch lately and I decided to try the classic Telescopic which has such raving reviews online. The brush is so unique and different to anything I’ve ever tried, so I’m still getting used to using it – but so far I’m kind of enjoying it!

While I was at the stand I spotted the new Infallible Matte Max lipsticks, and chose the shade 4 ‘Oops I Pink it Again’ (cute name!) which is just me in a lipstick – I’m all about that berry tone during the chilly months! It’s a really gorgeous colour and the formula isn’t actually as drying as you’d expect it to be.

Finally, I purchased something that I’ve been oohing and ahing over for just too long – the Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in the shade 13, a shimmery champagne. For months I’ve been searching for a UK equivalent to this beautiful colour without any luck, but MUFE recently opened a stand in my local Debenhams and it was just calling out to be bought! I’ll be reviewing this fully soon but just know that I’m slightly obsessed so far.

So those were my recent buys! It’s safe to say that I won’t be buying much for a wee while (unless the ABH Modern Renaissance Palette is back in stock soon… I’ve been waiting too long!).

Have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts?

    1. Ah thank you! And to be totally honest – spoiler sorry – the Tanya shadows aren’t as great as I’d have hoped. Not as pigmented as I thought they’d be 😦 xx

    1. Aw thank you! I’m such a perfectionist it’s so lovely to get compliments on my photos haha! πŸ™‚ And if I’m totally honest I’m not impressed with Tanya’s eyeshadows! The pigmentation is really not great at all and they just don’t show up true to colour; a bit powdery? Disappointment for me xx

      1. Well they’re really great photos! And yeah, I’ve been drawn in by the eyeshadows after seeing Tanya use them and lots of people buying them, but it’s a shame they’re not the best. Maybe I’ll buy one if they’re on super sale? Hahaha xo
