A New Year, A New Me

First thing’s first – happy new year to you lovely lot! I want to say a big thank you to you all for your kind support over the last year and I’m really excited to see what 2017 holds for me.

I thought I’d do a bit of a different type of post today and share with you some resolutions I have for the new year – realistic ones, might I add. As courageous as you might feel sharing that you’re going to go chocolate-free for the whole year, on January 3rd when it’s all got a bit too much and you’ve been discovered eating every scrap of the stuff you can find while hiding under your bed, you’re not going to feel overly good about yourself, are you?

Anywho, here are some resolutions that I really do think I can stick to if I put my mind to it.

1. Do more exercise
Yes yes, I know, this is pretty bog-standard for any resolutions list. But I genuinely do want to be more healthy. I know I’m not doing enough exercise and I know I could fit it into my daily routine if I tried! I’ve actually bought a Fitbit in the hope it’ll push me to reach my goals!

2. Eat healthier
By this I don’t been never eat a piece of cake ever, EVER again (I doubt I’d survive if that was the case); I just want to make healthier choices. Again, I KNOW I’m not giving my body all of the vitamins it needs, and I know that this will be an easy change to make.

3. Be more productive
There’s times where I will just sit and do nothing for an entire evening. I’ll watch the TV, wander aimlessly around my room, scroll through an Instagram feed full of photos I’ve already seen 100 times. I want to use my time more productively, be that blogging, brushing up on my makeup skills or merely spending time with friends and family.

4. Utilise all of the makeup in my beauty drawers
There’s a whole host of makeup in those IKEA drawers that I’ve never touched, and what a waste that is! As my makeup collection grows, more and more products are being neglected, and I want to be either using things or passing them onto my friends and sister.

5. Stick to my blogging schedule!
This is one that I know needs to be improved! I can be so slap-dash with posting, and I need to get my ass into gear! 2 posts per week, Wednesday and Saturday – I CAN DO IT!

All in all, I’ve enjoyed 2016 on the whole but I’m excited to begin what I hope to be a great new year!
